Because we love our region and our environment, we are committed to an eco-labeling process for our campsite. This is to limit our footprint as much as possible on this exceptional territory that surrounds us, the Bassin d'Arcachon!
This European eco-label for tourism therefore guarantees a high quality of the services offered for the protection of the environment by promoting products that respect health and the environment.
The criteria to be met for the award of this certification:
low energy consumption;
low water consumption;
waste management: selective sorting and disposal in an appropriate manner;
the use of renewable energy: solar, thermal, photovoltaic;
the use of appropriate substances for the respect of the environment: organic labeled products;
raising customer awareness by offering them, for example, meals based on local or organic products, educational activities on respect for the environment, etc.
Nature management and landscape integration:
In order to ensure the sustainability of our park, the trees present on the ground are regularly analyzed by an arboreal expert. We maintain and renew the forest, mainly based on local species (pines, oak, arbutus, heather, broom).
We also try to diversify our park with plants from all over the world. Non-invasive and useful to ecosystems, these plants are a vast laboratory for the gardens of tomorrow.
In accordance with a permaculture philosophy, we do not use any chemical fertilizers, only natural fertilizers. We carry out a vegetable mulch, every year. In this way, this amendment allows our sandy soil to be more generous.
For our outdoor equipment (cladding of rentals and buildings, playground, ...) natural materials are preferred (local wood / PEFC). Our driveways and car parks are only covered with draining material, never with bitumen. Indeed, we are only passing through.
The vast majority of our cleaning products are eco-labelled. Although the cost of these products is higher, they are less harmful to the environment.
Management and reduction of camping waste:
We do not print and send paper brochures. Our campsite is equipped with a selective sorting area as well as a compost. This bio-waste is then recycled into potting soil for our plantations. Hazardous waste is collected by companies specializing in recycling.
Reception ink cartridges are refilled and we collect batteries.
The toilet paper is 100% ecological (made from cellulose fiber from the recycling of food bricks in partnership with Tetra Pack – ref Ecolabel 8811830)
Our welcome kits are eco-responsible (toilet paper - sponge - garbage bag - multi-surface cleaner)
Soft journeys from the campsite:
Our campsite is certified Accueil Vélo, and we offer bike rental on site. So much so that it allows you to leave the car during your vacation, and discover the charms of the Bassin d'Arcachon by taking the cycle paths!
Similarly, buses are available throughout the town and the Arcachon basin. Thanks to this means of transport, you go to the beach, the oyster villages, and the Bordeaux region!
